We have here a very useful grouping of coins from German East Africa as well as coins from Bavaria, Bremen, Hessen, Trier, and more. Grades range from Fine to UNC.&quot; The duchies of Schleswig and Holstein were part of the German Confederation but ruled by the king of Denmark, who issued this copper dreiling and a sechsling for the provinces in 1850. In 1864, Bismarck of Prussia provoked a war wherein Prussia and Austria easily defeated the Danes and conquered the region, which fell to Prussia in 1866.
