This specimen was lot 29874 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;[1]&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt; noted, &amp;quot;Saxony. Johann Proof Convention Taler 1854-F PR66 Cameo PCGS. With striking design features that sit atop lightly-toned fields that display a tremendous amount of lustrous reflectivity. Not surprising, this premium gem is the currently the only certified example of this one-year type in a Proof designation, unique as such. Ex. Ernst Otto Horn Collection.&amp;quot; The year 1854 was a busy one for the Dresden mint, producing four different thalers, all common except for Johann's mining thaler (Dav-884).&lt;br /&gt;
