This specimen was lot 437 in UBS sale 85 (Zurich, September 2010), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1084 including buyer's fee). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Sachsen-Weissenfels, Herzogtum. August, 1638-1680. Taler 1669, Halle. Auf den Tod seiner Gemahlin Anna Maria. Elf Zeilen Schrift. Rv. Jakobs Kampf mit dem Engel. Vorzüglich.''" (Duchy of Saxe-Weissenfels, duke August, 1638-80, thaler of 1669, Halle mint. On the death of the duke's wife, Anna Maria. Obverse: eleven lines of script; reverse: Jacob struggles with the angel. Extremely Fine.)</blockquote> This type is rare and expensive. The line fell extinct in 1756 and the duchy was absorbed by the Elector of Saxony.<br />
