This specimen was part of lot 51303 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), which sold for $16,800. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"Fabulous 1863 Proof Set. SARAWAK. Copper Proof Set (3 Pieces), 1863. Heaton Mint. James Brooke. All are NGC Certified.

2) 1/2 Cent. NGC PROOF-67 Brown Cameo. KM-2; Prid-57A; SS-5.

3) 1/4 Cent. NGC PROOF-65 Brown Cameo. KM-1; Prid-62A; SS-3.

This truly fantastic proof set is comprised of magnificent looking representative of these types. Each piece meticulously engraved with expressive portraits, crisp devices and hard flashy fields. The frosty designs stand out against the reflective surfaces offering a nice cameo effect. The appearance of each piece is further elevated by the gorgeous rich brown patina and beautiful mottled iridescent coloration of cobalt and magenta.
