The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg, 1519-1540. 1/2 Guldiner 1536. RR Reste alter Vergoldung, kl. Henkelspur, fast sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Bankhaus Partin 29, München 1989, Nr. 862.'' (archbishopric of [[Austria, Salzburg|Salzburg]], Matthäus Lang of Wellenburg, 1519-40, half guldiner of 1536. Very rare, remains of an old gilding, small mount mrk, aboout very fine.)"</blockquote> Wikipedia comments, <blockquote>"In the course of the Protestant Reformation Lang's adherence to the older faith, together with his pride and arrogance, made him very unpopular in his Salzburg diocese.
