This specimen was lot 21349 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Russia|RUSSIA]]. 15 Kopeks, 1921. NGC PROOF-64. Three year type issued by the R.S.F.S.R. Attractive, sharply struck proof with mirrored fields and pleasing orange to russet toning." In 1921, having defeated all its internal enemies, the Bolshevik regime prepared to resume a silver coinage of ten kopeks up to a ruble. This is the first of three dates (1921-23). The last silver fifteen kopeks were issued 1931.
