This specimen was lot 75298 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $528. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Russia|RUSSIA]]. 3 Kopeks, 1874-EM. Ekaterinburg Mint. Alexander II. NGC MS-63 Brown. A lovely Choice example, this piece though mostly chocolate brown, does display a light dollop of mint red and is certainly an attractive specimen." This type was struck 1867-76 and is one of the last issues of the Ekaterinburg mint. The St. Petersburg issue was reduced in weight to 8 g in 1867 and struck in that form until the end of the regime.
