This specimen was lot 2801 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $60. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "SWEDISH [[Livonia|LIVONIA]]: Christina, 1632-1654, BI solidus, Riga, [16]47, an attractive example, PCGS graded MS62." This type was struck by the city of Riga 1635-54 while under Swedish occupation. It is common. Note the "SOLIDVS CIVI·RIG·" on the reverse. One thaler was 48 solidi or schillings. The city later returned to Polish rule but was contested between [[Poland]], [[Sweden]] and Russia for the next century, Russia emerging the eventual victor. Riga is today the capital of [[Latvia]].
