Adolf zugesicherten Herzogtum Franken belehnen zu lassen. Am 10. Juni 1633 erfolgte die förmliche Belehnung mit dem neu gebildeten, hauptsächlich aus den eroberten Bistümern Bamberg und Würzburg bestehenden Herzogtum.
