This specimen was lot 4004 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €300 (about US$418 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1797-1840. 1/3 Taler 1809, G. R Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, leicht justiert, sehr schön +. Erworben im April 1969.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Prussia|kingdom of Prussia]], Frederick William III, 1797-1840, one third thaler of 1809, Glatz mint. Rare, minor planchet flaws, lightly adjusted, very fine or better.)"</blockquote> The Glatz mint operated while Breslau, the site of the regular mint, was under French occupation. This is the final date of a type struck 1801-07 at Berlin and Breslau.
