This specimen was lot 3848 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,619 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Ostpreußen unter russischer Besatzung. 2-Gröscher 1761, ohne Münzzeichen, Königsberg. Die Rückseitenumschrift am Anfang und am Ende in Höhe der Federn. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Prussia|kingdom of Prussia]], East Prussia under Russian occupation, two groscher of 1761, without mintmark, Königsberg mint. The beginning and ending of the reverse legend is the same height as the feathers. Very scarce, especially in this quality. Extremely fine.)"</blockquote> The Russian army occupied East Prussia 1759-62 during the Seven Years' War. During that period, the Königsberg mint was used to strike a strange hybrid of German denominations with the bust of empress Elizabeth. Schilling ([[Prussia 1761 schilling|KM 286]]), groschen ([[Prussia 1761 groscher|KM 287]]), two groscher (shown here), three groscher (KM 289), six groscher ([[Prussia 1761 6 groscher|KM B290]]) and eighteen groscher (KM C290) were struck. The six groscher is the most common.
