This specimen was lot 2070 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$6,124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''POMMERN, HERZOGTUM NACH DER LANDE, Bogislaw XIV. (1620-) 1625-1637. Dukat 1631, Köslin. GOLD. RR Winz. Randfehler, fast vorzüglich. Erworben 1937 bei der Firma Julius Jenke, München.'' ([[Germany]], duchy of [[German States, Pomerania|Pomerania]], Bogislav XIV, 1625-37, ducat of 1631, Köslin mint. Very rare, small edge flaws, about extremely fine. BOught in 1937 from Julius Jenke.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1629-36 and undated. It is rare but the most available ducat of this ruler. Interestingly, the SCWC does not list this type. This duke was the last of his line; on his death, the duchy was caught up in the multisided Thirty Years War. By the Peace of Westphalia, it was partitioned between Sweden and Brandenburg (later Prussia).
