This specimen was lot 2112 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $144. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Peru|PERU]], Lima, pillar ½ real, Charles III, 1765 JM, ex-O'Brien. Semi-lustrous AU with rich rainbow toning around the rims. Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag." This type was struck for Charles III 1760-72. It is not rare but many of the dates are very scarce compared to their [[Mexico 1765-Mo M 1/2 real|Mexican equivalents]].
