This specimen was lot 1256 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2019), where it sold for $142.80. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Panama (struck by the Franklin Mint), 20 balboas, 1976, Simon Bolivar, NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo. Slab size about 6-1/2" x 5". Practically flawless, with no marks or lines or wear of any kind, tiny streak of toning on part of reverse rim. NGC #4700603-002." This NCLT was issued 1972-76. Unfortunately, collecting Panamanian coins lost its popularity after the Franklin mint overissued proof sets and commemoratives in the 1970's and 1980's. Today, few Panamanian coins sell for more than melt.
