This specimen was lot 3240 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "NETHERLANDS. Overijssel. 2 Ducat, ND. NGC AU-58. Spanish type using the Ferdinand and Isabella 2 Excelentes design with the titles of Philip II in legend. Slightly wavy flan but with a solid strike and no doubling. Well preserved with only a light brush of handling wear to cheeks and no contact marks to be found. Mild toning with nice original surfaces make for a very handsome piece. Ex: Stack's Sale of the Clifford T. Weihman Collection of Gold Coins of the World. October 18-20, 1951, Lot #468." [[Netherlands, Overyssel|Overijssel]] went on to issue many coins as part of the independent [[Netherlands]] until the time of Napoleon. We don't know why Ferdinand and Isabella, dead for eighty years, appear on this coin. It is accompanied by a single ducat ([[Overijssel (1590-93) ducat Fr-262|Fr-262]]).
