This specimen was lot 3978 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $312. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES: United East India Company, AE duit, 1756, VOC monogram within sprays on both sides, rooster mintmark on both sides, VF-XF." Most of the duits struck for the [[Netherlands East Indies]] were mintmarked with the various provincial arms ([[Netherlands East Indies 1755 duit KM-131|KM 131]], 136 = Westfriesland, [[Netherlands East Indies 1756 duit KM-152.3|KM 152.3]] = Zeeland, [[Netherlands East Indies 1757 duit KM-70|KM 70]] = Holland) but this one was not. It was struck at Hoorn in Westfriesland.
