This brass cent was issued by Philadelphia mint for the Dutch government-in-exile 1943-43 for her colony of Suriname. The SCWC files this under [[Suriname]] but Schulman catalogs this as a homeland type. The brass issue is fairly common but a few were issued in bronze.
