This specimen was lot 1959 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,359 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''KÖNIGREICH HOLLAND Ludwig Napoleon, 1806-1810. 10 Stüber 1809, Utrecht. Mit Randschrift, das Sternchen in der Randschrift berührt das "D" von "GELOOFD". RR Prachtexemplar mit feiner Tönung. Min. justiert, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz.'' (kingdom of Holland, Louis Napoleon, 1806-10, ten stuivers of 1809, Utrecht mint. Lettered edge, with the star overlapping the "D" in "GELOOFD." Rare, proof example with fine toning, minor adjustment marks, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1807-09 but all dates are rare. The portrait is of Louis Napoleon, Napoleon's brother, installed on the throne in hopes that his regime would enforce Napoleon's trade restrictions. Louis quickly came to side with the Dutch attitude towards smuggling and he was evicted in 1810 and the country annexed to France. A variety of coins were issued during his rule, ten and [[Netherlands 1807 50 stuivers|fifty stuivers]], [[Netherlands 1809 silver ducat Dav-230|rijksdaalders]], florins, [[Netherlands 1808 gulden|guldens]] and [[Netherlands 1809 ducat Fr-323|ducats]]. When the kingdom of the Netherlands was reconstituted in 1815 under the prince of Orange, the coinage was reformed with the gulden as the base unit.
