This specimen was lot 2539 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $168. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "MÜHLHAUSEN: Free City, AR 1/24 thaler, 1767, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64." There are two towns named Muhlhausen in Germany; one now in French Alsace, and this one in Thuringia, between Eichsfeld and Schwarzburg. Long an imperial free city, it was mediatized to [[German States, Prussia|Prussia]] in 1802. This issue accompanied a 2 pfenninge (KM 70), 3 pfenninge (KM 56.2), 2/3 thaler ([[Muhlhausen 1767 2/3 thaler|KM 74]]), 1/12 thaler (KM 73), 6 pfenninge ([[Muhlhausen 1767 6 pfenninge|KM 57.2]]) and thaler ([[Muhlhausen 1767 thaler Dav-2462|KM 75]]). None are common.<br />
