The ruler Abdul al-Aziz succeeded his father Hassan I in AH 1311. He continued having coins struck in Paris, and added issues struck in London and Berlin. The denominations were mazunas and dirhams, with 1 dirham = 50 mazunas. The 'crown' denomination was one rial, which was equal to ten dirhams. During this time, the ruler was honored on the coins not directly by name, but by an word or expression that alluded to him.

Shown is a silver ten dirham (1 rial) from the Berlin mint. The date is AH 1313, or 1895 AD. It was lot 22396 in Heritage sale 3009 (Chicago, April 2010) and sold for $322. The catalog description reads: "Abdal Aziz 10 Dirhams 1313AH (1895) Berlin, XF, cleaned long ago leaving noticeable hairlines. Very scarce one-year type. From the Silver Around the World Collection."
