This specimen was lot 22784 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $329. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "MEXICO. Peso, 1927-M. PCGS MS-66. Old green label. White with copious amounts of luster and virtually no marks. Much better date for the type, and a coin destined to see spirited bidding." This specimen is from a type struck in massive numbers 1920-45 at the Mexico City mint (the last branch mint having closed in 1905). This date is better but worth only its bullion content in circulated condition. The previous types (KM 453, struck 1910-14 and KM 454, struck 1918-19) had more silver.
