Geprägt in Italien, Macagno unter Giacomo III Mandelli (1618-1645). Der heilige Luzius zwischen der geteilten Jahreszahl. Umschrift: MON.NO.AVR.C.IA.CVR.REG. Rv. Doppelköpfiger, nimbierter Reichsadler mit Kreuz. Oben eine Krone. Umschrift: FER.II.IM.SEMP.AVGHVSTVS. Von grösster Seltenheit. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Schrötlingsriss. Of the highest rarity, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, Flan crack.)"</blockquote> Maccagno, today a town of about 2000 people, lies on Lake Maggiore on the border with Switzerland. In the seventeenth century, it was part of the [[Italy, Milan|duchy of Milan]]. The count of Maccagno, Giacomo III Mandelli, obtained the mint right from emperor Ferdinand II in 1622 and struck ducatone (Dav-3925 and -3626) and a variety of very rare ducats (KM 11, 12, 17, 18 19, [[Maccagno 1622 ducat Fr-498|KM 20]], 21, 22, 23, 26, 27 and 28).
