This specimen was lot 21331 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "RUSSIA. [[Livonia]] & Estonia. 96 Kopek (Ruble), 1757. Elizabeth (1741-61). NGC EF-45. VERY RARE one year type coin and the only crown sized circulation issue for Livonia & Estonia under the Russian Administration. Reported mintage of only 27,000 pieces. A few minor edge flaws on the reverse, good strike with light attractive tone." This coin was issued by the tsarina for the recently occupied province of Livonia, now part of [[Latvia]]. The region was conquered from pagan tribes by the Teutonic Knights and after their collapse, traded among [[Poland]], [[Sweden]] and Russia, which held it 1721-1918. This denomination was accompanied by two, [[Livonia 1757 4 kopeks|four]], 24 and 48 kopeks and was minted in Moscow.
