This specimen was lot 5294 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,068 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''KLEVE, GRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1417 HERZOGTUM, Wilhelm V. 1539-1592. Reichstaler 1569, Kleve. Selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung "Cygnus in Nummis".'' ([[German States, Julich-Berg|duchy of Cleve]], William V, 1539-92, thaler of 1569, Cleve mint. Scarce in this quality, extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1568-74, 1578 and 1583-84 and is quite scarce in nice condition. Wikipedia comments, <blockquote>"The United Duchies of Jülich-Cleves-Berg was a combination of states of the Holy Roman Empire. The duchies of Jülich and Berg united in 1423.
