This specimen was lot 1942 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $810. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Israel]]. 10 New Sheqalim, 2002. Tower of Babel. Choice Brilliant Proof." This commemorative is a product of the Ottawa mint. Similar ten sheqalim were struck 2001-2014. Prior to 2001, the denomination was 17.28 g, 0.900 fine gold. Massive influx of aid from the United States fueled inflation and coinage reforms in 1960, 1980 and 1985.<br />
