This specimen was lot 73842 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description&amp;lt;sup&amp;gt;[1]&amp;lt;/sup&amp;gt; noted, &amp;quot;[[Israel|ISRAEL]]. 5 Lirot, JE 5721 (1961). Utrecht Mint. NGC PROOF-66. A tremendous proof, this brilliant and lustrous specimen delivers shimmering eye appeal and charm.&amp;quot; Rapid inflation destroyed the value of the 1949 series and the coinage was reformed in 1960 to 100 agorot = one lira. This type did not circulate and was extensively saved.&lt;br /&gt;
