This specimen was lot 1005 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 62,500 CHF (about US$84,163 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"[[Iran|IRAN]], Nasir al-Din Shah, 1264-1313 AH (1848-1896). 25 Tomans 1307 AH (1889/1890 AD), Tehran Mint. On his Return from Europe. Extremely rare. NGC UNC Details. Obverse slightly polished. With original box. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 349. From the Mortimer Hammel Collection, auction Stacks & Bowers, New York, 1982. This issue dated 1307 AH was struck for the return of Nasir al-Din Shah to Persia from his third and final trip to Europe. The mintage was very limited, and the issue thus excessively rare."</blockquote> With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran. This scarce issue is on the border between coin and medal.
