The catalog description&lt;sup&gt;[1]&lt;/sup&gt; noted, &quot;AFSHARID: Shahrukh, as viceroy at Herat, 1739-1747, AR rupi, Herat, AH1153, citing the chief Afsharid ruler Nadir Shah on the obverse, scrapes on obverse, very rare with legible date, bold VF, R.&quot; Herat is now in [[Afghanistan]] but at this time part of Afsharid Iran. This type was struck there AH 1153-1159 while Shahrokh was viceroy for his grandfather Nader Shah. Shahrokh survived the immediate turmoil after Nader's assassination and sat on the throne three times, AH 1161-63, AH 1163-66 and AH 1168-1210.
