This specimen was lot 21099 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ISLE DE FRANCE. 10 Livres, 1810. NGC MS-62. VERY RARE in this high quality. Reported mintage of 200,000 pieces according to Lecompte. Interesting to note that there appears to be only one set of dies for this particular issue an early die state and a latter die state where the dies had been reworked. Also on some of the pieces from this issue plugs were added to the center of the planchet to bring it up to weight prior to being struck. This appears during both die states and is evident on some more than others. The present example does not appear of have a plug added to it. Both are of similar rarity. Typical weak strike in the centers with excellent definition in the peripheries. Attractive deep old mottled tone with multicolor highlights when tilted." The ''Ile de Bonaparte'' is today known as [[Mauritius]].
