Highly sought one-year type (unpriced in KM) designed by US engraver George H. Lovett, this example darkly toned and only lightly worn, with curious strike-through error at bottom of eagle side, second finest of just two in the NGC census behind a single MS 62 (in addition to one in &quot;details&quot; grade).&quot; This was the only use of this design and its artistic deficiencies suggest that it deserved its early termination.
