This specimen was lot 2404 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,500 (about US$2,064 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, AB 1815 KÖNIGREICH HANNOVER Georg II., 1727-1760. Goldabschlag zu einem Dukaten von den Stempeln des Ku.-Pfennigs 1737, Clausthal. Ausbeute der Grube St. Andreas. GOLD. Winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Sammlung Dr. Friedrich-Karl Günther.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Hannover|electorate of Hannover]], George II, 1727-60, off metal strike in gold of ducat weight on pfennig dies of 1737, Clausthal mint, for the St. Andrew mine. Light hairlines, extremely fine.)"</blockquote> Numista reports this off-metal strike for 1732 and 1737. The regular issue pfennig of this design (KM 205) is listed for 1729, 1732-36 and 1739 but not 1737. Pfenning with a wild man reverse (KM 215) are known for 1737 but have initials IAB.
