This ten new pence, or 1/10 of a pound, was introduced in 1968 as part of the decimal reform. It was struck to the same module as the superseded florin, which had the same value, until 1992, when the module was reduced to 6.5 g. Both sizes were struck in 1992; the reduced size is shown here, the large size being struck only for sets 1985-92. The ten pence was struck with this design until 1997. The five pence was reduced in size in 1990.<br />
