This specimen was lot 73455 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1951. London Mint. George VI. PCGS MS-64. The reflective fields enhance the dramatic rendering of Pistrucci's St. George and the Dragon, as well as the royal bust. A light scratch in the field left of the bust is the flaw which limits the MS-64 designation - the remainder of the coin being supportive of a higher grade." Altho it does not so state, this coin was struck to promote the Festival of Britain held in New York.
