This specimen was lot 29973 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "George V Florin 1925 MS65 PCGS, Royal mint. An exceptional Gem of this important issue with alluring, satiny luster in the fields and delicate tan tone over the surfaces. Easily the finest example we have offered of this date, and tied for the finest graded at both PCGS and NGC with one other MS65 certified by PCGS. From The Bob Bennett Collection." This type was struck in sterling silver 1911-19 and in .500 fine silver 1920-26, of which the 1925 is the key date. The reverse was modified for 1927-36 (KM 834).
