This specimen was lot 75261 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1904-B. Bombay Mint. Edward VII. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. A rather charming piece despite the noted cleaning with a cabinet toning beginning to form." This silver dollar was struck during the reign of Edward VII, king of Britain 1901-10. The type was struck 1895-1935 for use in "Oriental trade," which would include India, Indochina, the East Indies and China proper. This coin could easily be filed under [[India]] as most were struck in India, either at the Bombay (shown here) or Calcutta mints. The majority were struck 1895-1904, 1907-13 and 1925-34. The coin does not bear a portrait of the sovereign nor is marked with the country of origin tho the figure of Britannia makes it clear.<br />
