This specimen was lot 20386 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Germany|GERMANY]]. Friedberg. Taler, 1747-CPS. Johann Eitel II (1745-48). NGC MS-62. Well struck with the vast majority of the fine details visible without the aid of magnification. Attractive old tone from sitting for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. Provenance: Ex: Millennia Collection." The SCWC lists this one-year type as scarce. The Burgravate of Freidberg passed to Hesse in 1802.
