The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''FRANCE, Royaume, François Ier (1515-1547), AV écu d'or au soleil, 2e émission (mai 1519), point 18e, Paris. 4e type. D/ Ecu de France couronné entre deux lis, sous un soleil. R/ Croix fleurdelisée portant un quadrilobe en coeur, cantonnée de deux F et de deux lis. Léger tréflage au revers. Très Beau.'' (kingdom of [[France]], Francis I, 1515-47, gold écu of the sunburst, second emission of May 1519, dot under the 18th letter, Paris mint, fourth type. Obverse: crowned arms of France between two lilies under a sunburst; reverse: floriate cross with a quadrilobe at the center, cantonned with two "F's" and two lilies. Very fine.)"</blockquote> The auctioneers misdescribed this variety as having two "F's" and two lilies, which is the fifth type ([[France (1519)-B ecu d'or Fr-338|Fr-338/Dupl-775]]). This specimen is the fourth type, with two crowned "F's" and two coronets, which the auctioneers correctly state is Dupl-774/Fr-333. The weight and the fineness are very close.
