The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "PERU, Republic. 1821-present. AR 4 Reales (33 mm, 13.21 g, 6h). Arequipa mint. Dated 1839 MV. KM 151.2; C 131.2. In NGC encapsulation graded AU 58. Choice AU, but pretty much as struck. Full lustrous surfaces with just a hint of toning. This coin is very rare in this grade and is the highest graded for the date by five grades.
