This specimen was lot 56027 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Great Britain|GREAT BRITAIN]]. 2 Pence (1/2 Groat), ND (1485-1509). Canterbury Mint. Henry VII. PCGS AU-53. From the Jerome S. Reznick Collection." This type was struck in numerous varieties at London (S.2202-2206), Canterbury (S.2207-2211) and York (S.2212-2217). A halfgroat was tuppence. There should be a mintmark between the cross and the "H" of "HENRIC" but we don't see one.

Obverse: Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; trefoils at cusps; rosette stops; Reverse: Long cross pattee; triple pellets in quarters. Deeply toned and largely without much in the way of circulation." This type was struck in numerous varieties at London (S.2202-2206), Canterbury (S.2207-2211) and York (S.2212-2217).
