This specimen was lot 10201 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €216 (about US$225). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Denmark|DENMARK]]. Skilling, 1650. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-58. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This skilling, struck 1648-53 in many varieties, has the reverse legend "NOR·VAN·GOTO·Q·REX", referring to Frederick's status as king crowned, not just king elect. It had a face value of 1/96 speciedaler.
