This specimen was lot 34551 in Heritage sale 3094 (Chicago, August 2021), where it sold for $2,520. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Danish West Indies]]: Danish Colony. Christian VI Skilling 1740 (h)-CW MS61 Brown NGC, A fleeting mid-18th century Danish colonial minor that very scarcely is seen so well preserved. Sharp to the highest points, with touches of mint-red color gripping the devices." This and the accompanying two skillings are the first coins issued by Denmark for its colony in the Caribbean. Both are rare.<br />
