This type was struck for [[Cuba]] 1963-72 and again starting in 2001. Except for the change in composition, this type is essentially identical to the copper-nickel five centavos of the previous regime. Aluminum coins are generally not popular with collectors and this issue is no exception, having a derisory catalog value. A convertible five centavos based on the &quot;CUC&quot; ([[Cuba 2013 5 centavos KM-575.2|KM 575.2]]) also exists and is worth about twenty-five times this coin.<br />
