This specimen was lot 55010 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $384. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "CEYLON. 5 Cents, 1945. London Mint. George VI. NGC PROOF-64." This type exists dated 1944 and 1945. The SCWC comments, "The date was frozen at 1945 and these coins were struck until 1962." [[Ceylon]] attained its independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka.
