The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''1841. Barcelona. 6 cuartos. Flores de 5 pétalos. Bella. Precioso color. Escasa así. EBC.'' (Six cuartos of 1841, Barcelona mint, flowers with five petals, beautiful color, scarce thus, extremely fine.)</blockquote> This copper coin was issued from Barcelona for use there and in [[Coinage of Catalonia|Catalonia]]. It was struck 1836-48 and accompanied by a copper three quartos. In the local currency, six quartos = 1/20 peso. This coin is not common but priced rather low in the SCWC. The last local Catalonian issue is a rare six quartos dated 1848.
