This specimen was lot 4178 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabruck, March 2024), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,199 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''BRESLAU, BISTUM, Karl Ferdinand von Polen, 1625-1655. Dicke, achteckige Talerklippe 1632. Ohne Münzmeisterzeichen. RR Kl. Bearbeitungsstelle am Rand, Kratzer, sehr schön.'' ([[German States, Breslau|bishopric of Breslau]], Charles Ferdinand of Poland, 1625-55, thick octagonal klippe thaler of 1632, without mintmark. Very rare, light tooling on the edge, scratches, very fine.)
''Bereits am 20. Dezember 1619 wurde der sechsjährige polnische Prinz Karl Ferdinand (Sohn Sigismunds III.) zum Koadjutor des Bistums Breslau ernannt. Dies geschah vor allem durch Einfluß von habsburgischer Seite, um eine polnische Parteinahme gegen die schlesischen Stände herbeizuführen, die den Habsburgern als oberste schlesische Lehnsherrn ständig Schwierigkeiten bereiteten. 1625 wurde die Nachfolge des Wasaprinzen als Bischof gegen den Widerstand des Domkapitels durchgesetzt. Karl Ferdinand hielt sich während seiner gesamten Regierungszeit nur selten in Breslau auf.''
