Shown is a copper-nickel hundred réis of the United States of [[Brazil]]. This is the regular issue, struck 1918-35. [[Brazil 1932 100 reis KM-527|Commemorative hundred réis]] were issued in the 1930's which, not surprisingly, are much easier to find in nice condition than this type. The hundred réis gradually shrank (KM 503, KM 518, KM 527, KM 536 and KM 544) until its abolition in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.<br />
