The catalog description&lt;sup&gt;[1]&lt;/sup&gt; noted, &quot;Republic 1/2 Sol 1858 PTS-FJ MS65 NGC, Potosi mint. A fully original gem, currently the only example graded MS65 or higher by NGC.&quot; The Potosi mint produced these debased one half sol coins 1856-58. Other minors for 1858 included [[Bolivia 1858-Paz P 1/2 sol|KM 132]] (La Paz mint), [[Bolivia 1858-Paz P sol|KM 131]] (1 sol), KM 121.2 (2 soles) and [[Bolivia 1858-PTS FJ 4 soles|KM 123.2]] (4 soles), all debased. These coins, along with contemporary issues from La Paz mint, flooded South America and were denounced by Bolivia's neighbors, to no avail.
