Potosi Mint. Charles IV. PCGS EF-40. Though displaying some evidence of handling and circulation, this example is problem free and demonstrates a wholesome originality to it. A solid and presentable example of this RARELY encountered date. From the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection."

For the colonial period, Colombia may be regarded as the most prolific issuer, followed by Mexico, followed by Peru. Bolivia, Chile and Guatemala are minor sources.
