This specimen was lot 757 in Sedwick Auction 36 (Winter Park, FL, November 2024), where it sold for $. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Bolivia|BOLIVIA]], Potosí, cob 4 reales, 1722 Y, ex-Ponte. Choice example with bold date between well-centered full pillars, full cross with partial second date below, contrastingly toned About Fine with much peripheral flatness. Pedigreed to the Luis R. Ponte Collection." This type was struck 1702-24 and 1728 for Philip V. The purity was debased from 0.931 to 0.917 fine in 1728 but the design was not changed.
