This specimen was lot 444 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €150 (about US$198 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''1659. Felipe IV. Potosí. E. 2 reales. Triple fecha, una parcial. Muy redonda. MBC.'' ([[Bolivia]], Philip IV, 1621-65, two reales of 1659, Potosi mint, three dates, one partial, very round, very fine.)"</blockquote> As part of the reform of 1652, the date was moved to the center of the obverse, greatly increasing the percentage of production with legible dates. This type was issued until 1667.
